1st hour-
LT- I can explain the significance of Nazi rule.
Pick up "IB style notes" in the classroom
Nazism notes discussed with Ms. Chamberlain

4th-6th-
Finished notes over Nazism.  Notes over Japanese Totalitarianism.
Socratic Seminar: Totalitarianism
   Read the primary source documents and answer the pre-discussion questions.
   Students will be given participation points for their thoughtful contributions to the socratic seminar.  If     you missed class, you can make these points up by answering all the questions and turning it in.

   Study for Test on Friday:
   Russian Revolution, Stalin, Ideologies, Fascism, Nazism, Japanese Totalitarianism

Tuesday 4/16

1st hour-
LT- I can evaluate the significance of Stalin's rule.
Discussed then turned in "A Call to Power".
Discuss Russian Revolution notes (get from folder in class).
Read section(s) in book about Stalin and complete a history frame.  Due Friday!

4th-7th hours-
LT- I can articulate the main causes of the Russian Revolution.
Finish Russia's Last Tsar video (see Monday's post for links to any part of the video you missed).
Reviewed Treaty of Versailles project and Mr. O shared grades
Discussed Russian Revolution Notes
Homework- Read 389-394.  Complete a timeline, recording the significant events.  Must have at least 12.

1st hour-
LT- I can explain the significance of the Russian Revolution on Russia and the world.

-"Russia's Last Tsar" video.  Watch on youtube- parts 1-4.  Take notes.  It will be used as our overview to the Russian Revolution and is important for you to watch.

Wednesday 4/3 and Thursday 4/4

LT- I can evaluate the impact that the Treaty of Versailles had on history.

1st hour- check pre-discussion questions, socratic seminar- students had to thoughtfully contribute to earn participation points, put notebooks together (due tomorrow), time to prepare for test (test is Friday!)

Test preparation tips:
* reread entire chapter
*rewrite notes that include info from notes/discussions/handouts/book.  Synthesize!
*read over all notes and handouts
*study "Steps to the Explosion of War" cartoon- this is 20 points of the test grade
*read up on the following in the book:
total war, important battles, leaders (wartime and peace conf), flying aces, reparations, armistice

4th-7th hours:
Treaty of Versailles activity.  If you were absent, see Mr. O for alternative assignment.

   - Read materials in Socratic Seminar packet
   - Read section in book about The Treaty of Versailles
