Continued watching "Anne of the Thousand Days" while completing movie assignment. Ms. Chamberlain was the substitute.

Students picked up scoring guide (gives more detail about expectations) for Mock Salon. Make sure your points in the passport are bulleted, no paragraphs and not cut and pasted from a website. They picked their topics, then went to the LMC to research for Mock Salon project.
Tomorrow, we'll meet in the classroom. We'll go over Ab. Mon. quizzes and Renaissance essays (completing a reflection) then go to the LMC for research.

Read through sample outlines and essays (poor, mediocre, excellent examples). Evaluate your outline and reflect on what you can do next time (repeating the positives, changing the negatives).
Read in textbook pages 171-181. As you READ, take notes on Philosopher's Chart and Additional Ideas (on the back). Have this completed for Friday.
Absolute Monarchy Quiz on Friday. All assigned readings and notes are fair game for quiz.
